The Siletz River starts near the ghost town of Valsetz, an unincorporated community and timber company town in Polk County, Oregon. It flows roughly 67 miles west through coastal Oregon, through the town of Siletz, and emptying into the Pacific Ocean near Lincoln City.
The Siletz river is one of the most productive rivers for Riley. Fishing for winter steelhead in the winter and early spring, and chinook and coho in the midst of fall. The Siletz river season starts off with chinook and coho in September and fishes well into late November. After salmon season ends, a quick turn around right into winter steelhead season starts December and goes well into spring ending in April. You can also find a run of wild and hatchery summer steelhead starting sometime in April.
Join Riley in his Clackcraft drift boat today for a fishing adventure on the Siletz River.
